David Hurcomb

Chief executive

David Hurcomb is the chief executive, responsible for the development and implementation of the company’s strategy and all matters relating to the financial and operational performance of the business. David has enjoyed a successful career across the UK, holding executive positions with companies including Carillion Plc and Mansell Plc.

Daren Harris

Finance director

Daren Harris is the group’s finance director, responsible for leading the finance function of the company and ensuring the operational performance of the business. Daren has more than 25 years experience in finance related roles –including the position of chief finance officer for defence and national security giant, Raytheon Systems Limited.

Matthew Garratt

Group commercial director

Matthew Garratt is group commercial director, responsible for the commercial interests of the group, supporting the business to minimise risk and enhance opportunity.

Mike Darlington

Managing director, Engineering north & Scotland

Mike is in charge of the Engineering north & Scotland division of NG Bailey. His main duties are to ensure the division continues to grow in line with the overall business plan, meeting and exceeding customer expectations. Mike joined the business as an apprentice and has, over the years, worked his way up to the position he holds now.

Steve Briggs

Managing director, Engineering south & Rail

Steve looks after the Engineering south and Rail divisions of NG Bailey. He is ultimately responsible for its collective performance and for ensuring that we build and cement excellent working relationships with our clients in these areas. Steve joined the company as a quantity surveyor, before moving into an operations role. 

Helen Sweeney

Group HR director

Helen joined NG Bailey following four years at Co-operative Financial Services and leads the HR function. Helen is responsible for developing and delivering a people strategy to support the business.

Sean Wickens

Group business development director

Sean holds an executive position within the NG Bailey group working directly for our Chief Executive, David Hurcomb.  Sean leads the business development function across all areas of the company and has 25 years experience in the building services industry.  He is a qualified Engineer and has been awarded an MBA having started his career as an electrical engineering apprentice with GEC Marconi.

Steve Parr

Business transformation and group supply chain director

Steve Parr is business transformation and supply chain director, he is responsible for the company’s supply chain function, as well as being involved in strategic development. Prior to joining NG Bailey, Steve held executive positions with companies including Taylor Wimpey Plc and Taylor Woodrow Plc.
